A lithographic reproduction of the map in John Cary's "New and Correct English Atlas 1787" published in 'Cruchley's County Atlas of England & Wales' in 1862. This map shows further development of the railway network with completion of the line from Crediton to Okehampton and to Launceston. The line from Newton Abbot to Moretonhampstead is also completed. There are other additions including a proposed line from Fenniton to Sidmouth and Exmouth and Okehampton towards Tavistock.
