An antique map of Yorkshire by Jan Jansson, from 'Atlas Anglois, ou Description Général de L'Anglaterre....... ' Published in 1724 with original colouring. This is from a set of re-prints of thirty six of the counties of England by J. Janssonas re-issued by Schenk and Valk in 1683. Plain at the back. Oxidisation of some of the colouring has caused sections of the map to become brittle and there are a few old repairs to verso. Main towns and cities are highlighted in gold.
