A caricature by James Gillray first by published by Hannah Humphrey on June 25th, 1799. This print is from the edition published by Henry G. Bohn in 1849 with later hand colouring. Bottom left of the image is the suggestion "for the origin of the word consult the ‘Johnnesonian Dictionary Edition of 1799" which is believed to allude to Thomas Johnes (1748-1816), Translator, farmer, landscape architect; owner of the Hafod, Cardiganshire and politician; MP for Cardiganshire and Radnorshire.
