This rare and curious antique map of 'Caernarvon, Denbigh and Flint' was produced from the research of Aristide Michael Perrot and engraved by Adrien Migneret, was published in G. B. Depping's L'Angleterre. Ou Description Historique et Topographique Du Royaume Royaume Uni De La Grande-Bretagn in 1823. This map, a copper plate engraving, has original outline hand colouring. Some maps show a single county, but more often two or more counties were joined to form a group which is similar in industry, agriculture and terrain.

This miniature antique county map of Denbighshire was produced as a playing card map by Robert Morden in 1676. This map together with the whole of Mordens pack of cards were republished in 1773 by H. Turpin in a book entitled " A Brief Description of England and Wales". Original outline colour and is trimmed to the plate edge and mounted, as issued. Very good impression. Clean condition.

Greenwood' in 1834 with original colouring. Shows a decorative vignette of St. Asaph Cathedral. The watermark "T Edmonds Wycombe" is present along the bottom edge of the map. Some offsetting, otherwise fine map.

This antique map "Denbighshire and Flintshire 'Denbigh Ac Flint duorum olim cambriae modo Walliae comitatuum descriptio A.Dm 1577" by Christopher Saxton was engraved by Remegius Hogenbergius and was published in Saxton's 'An atlas of England and Wales' in 1579. Early colouring. It bears the watermark of a bunch of grapes, which is believed to be the earliest. Margins, although wide are badly stained and have a few repaired tears. Due to brittleness of paper caused by oxidation of colour, archival tape has been applied to various parts of the map on verso.
