This atlas contained fifty four of these circular maps which measure 6cms in diameter. Beneath each map is an account of the county which includes its size, number of towns, parishes, houses and population and details of rivers, terrain, industry and products of the county.

This miniature antique county map of Denbighshire was produced as a playing card map by Robert Morden in 1676. This map together with the whole of Mordens pack of cards were republished in 1773 by H. Turpin in a book entitled " A Brief Description of England and Wales". Original outline colour and is trimmed to the plate edge and mounted, as issued. Very good impression. Clean condition.

This rare and curious antique map of Denbighshire was produced from the research of ARISTIDE MICHAEL PERROT in 1823. This map, a copper plate engraving, has original outline handcolouring. Some maps show a single county, but more often two or more counties were joined to form a group which is similar in industry, agriculture and terrain.
