A peculiar looking antique map, the groundwork being black and the detail white. It shows towns, villages, hundreds, canals, rivers and roads. The title is in a lozenge above the engraver's name (J. Archer) and below is the scale. The border is formed by a thick and a thin line with a double inner line marked off into degrees and minutes of latitude and longitude. To the right, i.e. the top of the 4to page, left, " 1832 "; centre, " Guide to Knowledge " Published by W. Pinnock in 'The Guide to Knowledge' in 1832. It was re-issued in 1833.
