A rare and very attractive 1833 map of the Corse region of France. This map was drawn by John Baptiste Charle and engraved by Dumortier as plate no. 51 in Dauty and Roret's 1833 Nouvel Atlas National . This departmental atlas of France was issued both bound as a book and as a collection of linen backed pocket format maps. Published Paris 1833. Good margins. Some blemishes present caused by damp staining.

An antique map from "La France Nouvel Atlas Illustre Et Ses Colonies." Attractive, detailed maps of the French regions, issued in Paris 1869 by M. Vuillemin. Each map has a small vignette view of the prinicipal town or city, plus portraits of famous people. Printed in colour, with wide margins. Some occasional foxing. Comes with text page of description.

A map by Thomas Jefferys which appeared in "The Gent." magazine in 1747. It is entitled "France with its Aquired Territories in Germany and the Netherlands by T. Jefferys, Geographer to His Royal Highness the Prince of Wales." All margins have been cropped to borders.
